The God of all possibilities

The God of all possibilities

Rhema Christian Church

The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee… For with God nothing shall be impossible ~ Luke 1:35–37.

Preamble

There come moments in the pilgrimage of life when man stands before mountains that appear immovable—times when wisdom falters, strength fails, and hope fades into the distance. Yet, even at such moments, the believer must remember that our Heavenly Father is the God of all possibilities. He is the One who turns despair into deliverance, impossibility into opportunity, and ashes into beauty.

Our God is boundless in might and inexhaustible in wonder. The Scriptures testify that He “quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17). Truly, “with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37).

No condition—spiritual, physical, financial, emotional, or social—lies beyond the reach of His redemptive power. He is omnipotent and unsearchable, and this knowledge should awaken within us an unshakeable confidence in His ability to transform every circumstance.

Knowing the God of All Possibilities

To know the God of all possibilities is to know the One who is eternally unchanging. “For I am the LORD, I change not,” He declares (Malachi 3:6). His counsel stands forever; His covenant cannot fail (Psalm 89:34). His Word is sure, and His promises are steadfast as the morning sun.

He is omnipotent in power! He’s the Creator of heaven and earth, who by His great power and outstretched arm made all things and declared, “Nothing is too hard for Me”(Jeremiah 32:17). His wisdom transcends the reach of mortal understanding, for His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways, far above our ways (Isaiah 55:8–9).

The Almighty God is sovereign in authority, ruling over the affairs of men with absolute dominion: “The LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it?”(Isaiah 14:27). When He opens a door, no man can shut it; when He shuts a door, no man can open it (Revelation 3:7).

His operations are limitless; He is not confined by time, space, or circumstance. He works through the seen and the unseen, the ordinary and the extraordinary. What man calls impossible, God calls cheap and simple!

Biblical Manifestations of His Power

Throughout Scripture, we behold countless manifestations of the divine possibility. When the Virgin Mary received the angel’s announcement that she would conceive by the Holy Ghost, she wondered, “How shall this be?”The angel’s reply still reverberates through the ages: “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

Abraham and Sarah, long past the natural age of childbearing, received strength to conceive because they judged Him faithful who had promised. The Red Sea also, which threatened to destroy the Israelites, became a pathway of deliverance as the Lord divided the waters by His mighty hand.

David, armed with nothing but faith and a sling, confronted Goliath and declared, “The battle is the LORD’s”. The Lord vindicated his faith, and the giant fell (1 Samuel 17:40-53).

In the wilderness, Jesus multiplied five loaves and two fish to feed five thousand, demonstrating that heaven’s supply never runs dry (Matthew 14:13-21). He restored sight to the man born blind—creating what had never existed before—and raised Lazarus from the grave after four days, proving that even death must bow to His command (John 9:7; 11:1-44).

These are not ancient fables but eternal evidences of the living God whose power remains unchanged. He who wrought wonders in ages past is still working today! Alleluia!!

Activating the Power of Divine Possibility

How, then, do we bring this divine possibility into manifestation in our own lives? The journey begins with faith—the kind of faith that pleases God and moves mountains (Hebrews 11:6).

True faith is not passive resignation; it is active trust. It dares to act on God’s Word even when circumstances appear contradictory. When, like Abraham, we refuse to stagger at the promises of God, we create room for divine performance(Romans 4:20).

Faith remains the golden key that unlocks the gates of divine possibility (Mark 9:23). To walk in the realm of divine possibilities, we must cultivate a possibility mindset, believing that “God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think”(Ephesians 3:20).

Doubt closes the door, but faith throws it wide open. Therefore, we must discipline our hearts to look beyond the barriers of human limitation and fix our gaze upon the Almighty who delights in accomplishing the impossible.

We must also walk in the Spirit, for the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live beyond human limits (Act 1:8). A life yielded to the Spirit becomes a channel for the miraculous. Obedience too, plays a vital role. The walls of Jericho fell, not by human strategy but by simple obedience to divine instruction. Every act of obedience positions us for supernatural intervention.

Furthermore, we must learn to speak God’s Word with conviction. His Word is alive and creative: “So shall My Word be… it shall accomplish that which I please” (Isaiah 55:11). Our confession shapes our condition. When the tongue of faith agrees with the voice of Scripture, heaven responds.

Prayer remains another essential key. “The effectual fervent prayer of the righteousavaileth much” (James 5:16). In the place of prayer, impossibilities crumble. Thanksgiving prayer multiplies God’s blessings, and the words of our testimony inspire faith in others, for “they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11).

Above all, perseverance preserves faith while we wait for God’s appointed time. “He hath made everything beautiful in His time”(Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Conclusion

Never forget that our God is indeed the God of all possibilities. No situation, however tangled or desperate, is beyond His reach. His power turns impossibilities into daring possibilities when faith meets His Word. Yet such faith is born out of intimate relationship with God. “They that trust in the LORD shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed” (Psalm 125:1).

You cannot wholly trust Him whom you do not truly know. Therefore, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, that is the first and most vital step toward experiencing His miraculous possibilities.

Open your heart to Him today and pray sincerely: “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge my sins and unbelief. I confess You as my Lord, and I surrender my life to You today. Forgive me, cleanse me with your blood, and make me Yours forever”.

From that moment of surrender, salvation is established, and you gain access to the limitless grace and power of God. Impossibility becomes a stranger to your life, for you have encountered the Lord of all creation—the God who can do all things.

Beloved, may the reality of this truth fill your heart, strengthen your faith, and overflow into every facet of your life. May you continually experience the transforming touch of the God of all possibilities in all areas of your life. You will not miss His visitation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Happy Sunday!
